You evaluate, develop and optimize our international IT landscape (> 10 local organizations) while providing architectural support for agile, internationally distributed development teams

You act as high-level decision maker in the process and directly interact with relevant stakeholders across multiple departments for technical evaluations and conceptual drafts

You contribute to transforming monolithic applications into highly maintainable and testable microservices-based platforms. These are independently deployable and organized around business capabilities

You design a bridge between the heterogeneous operational applications, while enabling new platforms to use existing resources with minimal disruption

You design and develop architectural solutions to address complex international business challenges at the HQ in Essen

You secure the readiness of the local organizations for future innovative steps

You collaborate throughout the entire IT architecture management process and support the implementation of the global IT strategy

You conceptualize and design scalable and high-performance target architectures using current and innovative architectural approaches and technologies

You analyze and evaluate the impact of technological trends and possible local innovative partners

Successfully completed studies in computer science, engineering or similar

Relevant professional experience in the IT environment, contribution to large, complex projects

Very good knowledge of at least one of the following technology domains: Enterprise Java, .NET, integration technologies (e. g. SOA, REST, Micro-services, Event Processing), Cloud Computing, mobile or web technologies (e. g. HTML 5, SPA, native/hybrid app development), SAP ERP

Good knowledge of Scrum techniques and artefacts is considered an advantage

High level of persuasiveness, flexibility, as well as ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams

Pronounced drive to perform paired with the willingness to assume responsibility

International travel readiness for participating in workshops or occasional project related meetings (10%)

Very good command of English; German is a plus
